I personally listen to whatever sounds good to me.

Why the hell would I worry about when the music was made and how much credit it is or isn't getting?

Worrying about all that crap is just subtracting focus away from the reason for listening to music in the first place.

No, I usually look at the CD to see what I'm listening to.

I really don't understand your question.
I don't require a band's complete statistics to figure out whether I like them or not.
