you mean like metallica? lol

Yeah, if they turn out like metallica and continue to try and put out music i will think they suck.

But in 20 years, i have no idea what will be good. Rap might take over the world or something, rap sure does seem to get alot of undeserved attention these days

I'm talking about albums or songs you like right now. What are some of your favorite albums by current bands? In 20 years will those albums have become crap because they're old?

Not the quality stuff. I'm no underground enthusiast or anything but almost ALL decent Hip-hop I've heard lately has no radioplay.

Well, i will definitely move on. I always discover new bands i like, and while still liking the ones i previously called my favorites, i just listen to the fresher stuff more. So i guess in 20 years i will still like the albums i do now, but there will be much better and fresher stuff to listen to.

I won't be calling Killswitch Engage the Gods of metalcore like i do now though, those bastards have to pass the torch sometime.

let me clear this post and start over.

Underground will never be recognized much, because the media is too busy feeding crap like chris brown and lil wayne to all the teens who think it is cool.

So in other words, you recognize that old music can still be good even though it's no longer fresh. Now just apply this same concept backwards and you can understand why people like older music.

I think it's weird that you still keep equating "fresher" with "better". What's your reasoning for that?

well, i didn't mean to equate it like that. So ignore that, i shouldn't have typed that in there.

I think classics are overrated and don't deserve as much credit as they get. Just look at the 100 greatest songs of all time lists. All of them are full of songs from the 60's-80's. Why can't just 1 modern metal song be on that list? There are tons of good metal songs that mean alot more.
