How come people aren't allowed to dislike classic rock, seriously?

I ****ing hate most songs by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

I love them and respect them loads for doing what they did, but am I not allowed to dislike their music just because they are so important?

I grew up listening to all of them, since both my parents like them...so I've heard loads of their stuff.

The only song that stuck with me was Fool On A Hill.

Led Zeppelin on the other hand I love.

To dismiss music simply because its old is absurd. Does anyone really need to explain to you? that it takes more creativity to pioneer a genre than it does to copy it. Music gets designated classic not simply because its been around a while, but because it has a timeless quality that allows people to go on appreciating it long after the era in which it was created. The music you love now will one day be considered classic (that is if it doesn't already suck) what will you do then?

classic rock is just boring to me. Absolutely no emotion or anything. It's still good to listen to every once in a while, but meh.

I don't dislike the classic rock bands because they are old.

I simply don't enjoy their music!

I'll admit that it is more creative than the stuff I listen to, but it just doesn't appeal to what my brain enjoys listening to!

So because there isn't anyone growling and screaming into the mic, it has no emotion?

Most Beatles tunes were rather happy songs. Happy = emotion.

A lot of classic rock songs were about love or things that were happening at the time, like war. War is sad. Sadness = emotion. Love = emotion.

new riffs > old riffs

that's why i like what i listen to, old music doesn't have enough energy with it

metalcore has tons of emotion with it, whether it is the vocals or the breakdown that leads to a solo. It all has great emotion. Emotion emotion.

You've heard what, 5 bands? One song by each? 'Classic rock' isn't a particular kind of music it's just a stupid classification given to rock bands from a certain era. I'm 14, I like a good deal of Classic Rock, so do a lot of people my age. Unlike you I've actually have something to compare it to besides ****ty, force fed Metalcore bands. Why is it so hard for you to accept that other people like different things?
