You're 20. It's not like you aren't old enough to know Elizabeth Taylor. You don't have to know her movies but you should at least know her name.

All we showed him was a picture of Elizabeth Taylor, so he didn't know who it was. It's unfair to call him an uneducated fool.

And maybe he doesn't recognize the name either because he's never been in a situation where he's heard of her. He could easily post a picture or a name of a person you might have not heard of before.

Nobody "should" know that someone is famous, except for maybe The Beatles and Jesus, if only because their influence in popular culture is inescapable.

This is...like the 3rd time MissMurder has said something that to all intents and purposes seemed serious, then explained it away by virtue of some hidden meaning we were unaware of?

I think it might be an idea to remind yourself inflections in speech don't carry across to text very well. Saves the hassle.
