Americans are scared sh*tless of 'our' food, even though we eat exactly the same crap. Traditional dishes will always be just that, except they now come as frozen microwaveable mush.
Keep to the pre-War dishes and maintain the illusion I say. The threat of a Sunday roast could well be our only defense against the U.S. Empire. and how come we've imported everything except proper pretzels? pfft my favourite is leg of toddler drizzled in Frenchman's blood. My imported slaves bring it to me |
I'll raise you with a traditional Scottish dish: No not that little furry animal with one leg longer than the other that runs round in circles (the haggis), but none other than............deep fried mars bars.

Offal is still very popular in my family. How could I ever forget the brain stew or sheeps head soup. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2152/...374c473f15.jpg |

Taking the pure fat of an animal, dehydrating and roasting it so it turns into a crispy treat and eating that as a separate food stuff? Genius, my friends. Crackling. |
