If you like a lot of old monuments and history then it really is a great city to visit.
yeah the castles the best part of edinburgh , ive never been to old town that i know of, but i can recall i went there as part of an art trip last year, and the part was all old fashioned edinburgh with the cobblestone roads, it was beautiful.

You've never been on the Royal Mile before? I find that a little hard to believe. What about Leith, you ever been there?

Both LOD and I are from British Columbia Canada, the Western most Province and leading supplier of marijuana for the West Coast of Canada and the U.S.

I currently reside in Reno Nevada so I can forgive you for mistaking me as an American.

Haha, West Coast of Canada. British Columbia. Vancouver Island to be more accurate even.

^ Thats a picture of downtown. About 10 minutes from my place. Also, the pirate man statue is an old mayor, Frank Nay.
