My high school had such a ridiculous amount of people in honors, with an entire GPA point added to theirs - so my respectable GPA of 3.6/4.0 barely got me in the top 50% of my class. Our valedictorian had a 5.0/4.0. I got a 1500 on my SATs but didn't qualify for the highest academic scholarship at my university because I didn't finish in the top 10%... But then I wrote a letter to my university and they gave me the top scholarship anyway I don't think class rank should be an assessment of scholarships to universities.

I really feel that each state should set up 1 single standard of High School grading scales for it's state. There is too much money on the line for students to be letting schools do what they want with these grading scales.

Most of the people who get good grades in my school are dumbasses. All our schooling system does is breed you into a person that colleges want. Then when the people get to college, they end up not knowing what the **** they want to do. Then they find there future spouse, and decide to quit college because as horny Christians they can't have sex outside of marriage and with their lack of sexual education they accidentally get pregnant.
Not really, but it is true for a lot of people. Why cul-de-sac living is so lovable is beyond me... |

Burning down parts of Lorain isn't too bad of an idea though.... it might bring a few jobs to the city if something needs to be built. |
