I bought a spare part for my cello online and it came about a month late and then didn't work and they wouldn't give me my money back. I once considered buying a Billy Mays product, that surely would have been a scam.

Police XP virus...that was drag to kill off. It took control of the computer, it didn't let me open up Task Manager to kill the thing it was downloading. I had to put a process in to take back control of task manager and kill it and the other files it spread in my computer. major annoyance

Heh. I had no idea that was so common it had a name. I didn't fall for it, but I had some jackass try to pull this one on me when I was in my early 20s. No offense to your husband but I'm amazed that anyone would think that some dude in a van trying to sell speakers to random people was anything but a scam.

It's cool..you can say it...it was completely dumb. I think it was even in a gas station parking lot in a seedy part of town. lol. He has his virtues...recognizing blatant scams just isn't one of them.

I got hit with the xp thing aswell, pretty easy to deal with though, I just opened up my start options and stopped it from ever loading again, haven't had any trouble since.
