Yeah, I know when people move to different locations sometimes they will adopt the accent of the area around them if they live there long enough as well or create a strange hybrid.
Or they could be like my dad who still sounds like he came from New Zealand yesterday even though he hasn't live there in 30 years.

Always thought once you'd lived through your teens that's your accent for life. My gran came to England when she was in her early 20's and still sounds Caribbean.

Although, I have mates who've gone to uni and came back sounding like southerners .
