Similar, but still noticeably different. Over here you can pick a Kiwi accent immediately from an Australian one. Although that New Zealand newsreader sounds very Australian.
If you watch the second video, NZs say "Sux" while we say "Six", they are "cints" while we say "cents"... it's hard to describe really but it is definitely a noticeable stray from the Aussie accent. |

Oh god when I first started working at my last job I made the mistake of saying "For supper I want a party platter" like JFK and somebody there is a HUGE Clone High fan so for the entire day he spoke like that, was funny for a few hours then just got boring. I have yet to visit the East Coast but god damn if people talk like that over there I'm going.

New York and Boston accents are they only ones I really can't stand.
I love a canadian accent on a female, as well as central northern american. I think german is the coolest accent, all their words are just so metal. I'm from the midwest where we speak clearly and annunciate all our words. So I'm not sure I have an accent at all.
