Coachella or...Burning Man
Coachella was more tame, and it sucked that it ended at 2:00 in the morning when your all looped out and you want to stay up. Burning Man was too hot and too dusty, but like nothing I have ever seen although it was quite a blur due to the heat strokes and dehydration.
Coachella in my opinion was a blast. Granted they are both in a desert, Coachella felt cooler in temperature. But I f****n hate the Heat. *whine* Whats the overall opinion. HMMMM????? ponder...ponder...???? |

Its probly pretty awsome if you know how to survive in the desert. I went once and didnt know how to take care of myself. I drank to much and didnt match everything I drank with a cup of water to stay hydrated. I ended up in the medical center...YAY... Strapped to a table because I was soooo dilusional that I didnt know what was going on and I was trying to fight the paramedics off...OH... But other than that I think Iv learned my lessons about taking care of myself at Burning Man. Hopefully. I know it will be different every time but at least I know the basics now...Maybe...

Burning Man is an incredible mixture of art, and music and community. It was way much more than just the music, If you havent been and your an artsy fartsy(not that thats a bad thing) Burning Man will blow your mind. Now... not to leave Coachella out, Its alot about the art as well. More about the music though, But what I found interesting was that most of the art that I saw at Coachella, I saw at Burning man that same year (07). Very over stimulating events.

coachella valley music and art festival is the premier music festival in the united states. although it does get hot during the day (around 90-100) it is dry heat and cools off siginifcantly in the evening (about 65-75). it is (to me) the perfect blend of art and music usually leaning towards a good mix of rock and electronic acts with a sprinkling of other genres. this is no doubt my favorite weekend of the year
burning man is much more of an art festival. there is little organized music and it is really a festival for the freaks (in a good way). it is hotter, and perhaps that is what makes everyone seriously go crazy out there. this is not someone anyone would want to goto alone, unless you are an incrediably extrovertent and extremely tolerant person. people run around naked, almost exclusivly fueled by drugs, doing whatever the hell they feel like doing and there are no real rules purpose or order out there. some dig it some dont, most people who even think about going are the kind that fit right in... so it works out well @jackhammer i hear it was colder than antarctica the other day in southern england... that must be painful. |
