Meh. They're cheaper to buy, cheaper to fix, and more fun to drive. It's not like they're really that hard to drive. Once you learn it it's just muscle memory. Which is probably the worst part because I keep reaching to change gears in my dad's car.

And how the hell does anyone afford more than one car, pass one this way, I'll take the insurance payment off your shoulders.
If it's your addiction of choice you'll find a way of financing it.

Oh and as of yesterday I now own a 1966 Chev Impala

I agree for the most part, but when you get up for work/school at 7:30 AM the last thing I want to do is think about shifting. Ill spend the extra money for the convience. Plus that what the bike is for.

haha, oh i knew that, hence the little smiley at the end of my post. think the truck is at about 170k right now, doing very well. gotta love toyotas, they're like the energy bunny, just keep going and going and going...

and savanah, i actually laughed out loud when you said it gets cold in north carolina. I went out today at -6 C (about 20 F) and thought it was absolutely balmy. if its warmer than -10 C in the winter, its a beautiful day. so you calling barely freezing cold is laughable.

but back on topic. i love my car, it kicks ass in snow.

I've got a little 2000 model Holden Astra! I don't know what Holdens are in other countries. Vauxhall? It's a manual and I love it. I've accidentally crashed it into a few objects but it still works. And also it's red.
