well it's a hard thing to do to a kid, and his father already made him a subject of extreme bulling. I've read somewhere that people in southern italy name their boys Benito. anw my dad is a left-wing socialist, or even a communist but I don't think it ever even crossed his mind to name me Vladimir...

This is just a bit of trivia on the side, but Russians actually place stress on the second syllable of Vladimir unlike English speakers who emphasize the first. So they say Vla-DEE-meer.
