I can see why tattoos would be nice, but they're just too expensive, and I just have better things to do than plan for one for now.

As for piercings, I think they're bs. They don't mean anything. People get tattoos because its art on their bodies, or they signify something. Nobody gets a piercing because it signifies something.

Or maybe it's just me. I can't find a single logical reason why I would want to mutilate my body in such a way. Would anyone care to enlighten this ignorant mind?

If you look after a piercing they rarely scar after removal. Sometimes the lobes stay open but it's hardly noticeable. Perhaps I just like a bit of pain lol

I was the first kid in junior school to have more than one piercing in my ear.

I was the coolest kid in my school for almost a whole week.

Lol, yeah, except for that guy.

I would explain it that same way, with the "liking a bit of pain" thing, but I knew I would come off as an ignorant bastard.

I've always heard those referred to as "gauges". I'm sure there are probably other words for them too.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of pain. :D I got what I got just because I liked the way they looked.

I tried gauging my ears a few years ago, they smell worse than they feel.

Well gauging is different from piercings although they initially start off the same. That's not for me personally although I know a guy who's a chef with them and he loops the lobes around the top his ears @ work. Not very attractive I have to say.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to think about this comment every time I see someone with gauges from now on.
