Why do you feel like you need to police what he says? Just ignore his stupid comments if you don't like them.

I really don't see how hard it is to do that.

On the eight day God said let humans consume animals because meat is delicious.

there you go, the bible verse you were looking for.

It's in Genesis somewhere.

Frankly, I don't care what the Bible says. I'm not a Christian, so why should I go omnivore because a religious book tells me to? That doesn't mean I won't respect the fact that some people think we should eat meat (I know Muslims believe we should) and I can understand you might think people like me are wasting our time as vegetarians, but with all due respect, I'm not going to eat meat to satisfy your beliefs.

Sorry I guess I wasn't that clear. I'm saying that you're both operating off the assumption that God even exists. Given that, you're pointing out that Virgin had the burden of proof regarding scripture just made me chuckle. Sorry about that :P

Because you have listened to the voice of your wife
and have eaten of the tree about which I commanded you, You shall not eat of it
cursed is the ground because of you
in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life, thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you
and you shall eat the plants of the field
by the sweat of the your face you shall eat bread, until you return to the ground
by the sweat of your face, you are dust
and to the dust you shall return

funny it seems God wants us all to be vegetarians from the above scripture

(then again, I'm just playing your game of taking the scriptures out of context, since you are going to display such shallow knowledge of the Bible, so will I)
and to dust you shall return
That's not what it means, actually. This is the more literal extraction from "The New Living Translation":

"And to the man he said, "Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it."

So, basically God had given us food from which to eat freely, without toil, and because man had defied God, we are now made to work for our food.

And as for scriptures which tell us that we can eat meat, they are many:

Leviticus 11:1-3
And the LORD spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them. Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat Among all the beasts that are on the earth. Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud, Among the beasts, that shall ye eat.

Leviticus 11:9
These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

Leviticus 11:21-22
Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth. Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.

And well, there's many more, but this should suffice.

that's Judaistic law on what you can eat

The Virgin's assertion is that God made animals especially for us to eat

you guys aren't over yet with the whole God thing? let's move on.
anyways, for vegetarians, i recommend you try to put even just tid bits of meat on your vegetable meals. for instance, put like tidbits of ground pork or beef on you salad. it will taste better.

Putting ground bits of pork in my food completely eliminates the point of me being a vegetarian.
