The best source of protein is beans. One half cup of beans contains as much protein as a 3 oz steak. Beans are a cheap, easy solution to just about any meal. Next is egg (which vegetarians can eat) and then Dairy (which vegetarians can also consume). Vegetarians don't lose weight for eating only vegetables. oil can make you gain weight which is used as dressing in some salad. IF they were malnourished, the parents weren't giving their children enough nutrition. or that body structure could be because of their genes.

Well I've been a vegetarian for years and I lost weight since I started eating meat again, so that sort of proves it. I cannot deny that being a vegetarian wasn't too healthy for me, but that's because I didn't think things through and didn't eat stuff that would make up for the loss of meat. Figures...
Eitherway, now I just eat meat from animals who had a proper life. I'm fine with that.

Actually, the best reason to be a Vegetarian is for fiscal reasons. Just thinking about the amount of work it takes to create a calf, raise it to a healthy level, feed it, medicate it (where needed) and the amount of meat it gets you for killing it, and how much that sells for...
compared with growing potatoes. Theres a reason you can eat chaper without meat. And to me, thats the best reason.

vegetarianism is a subjective term as it turns out, so there's no way to tell. some vegetarians eat fish for god's sake. doesn't make any sense. and when asked about it, they say "well lots of vegetarians do it!" flagrant trendiness if you ask me.
my girlfriend is a vegan and i've been living with her for two years. she also works at a health food store. nobody needs meat. we don't need eggs, and if you stop drinking milk for two months, you might realize upon trying it again that you probably weren't supposed to keep drinking it past the age of 4 or 5. i work in construction. heavy, manual labour alongside men weighing over 100 pounds more than i do. i don't eat a strictly vegan diet, but i've cut 90% non-vegan stuff out, and these guys don't bug me anymore about veganism being for pussies and how you can't gain weight and you start falling apart... cuz they just look at me. i have lots of energy, and although i'm not huge, i do put on weight and i can keep up with the biggest of them. the majority of the information people are exposed to about these sorts of lifestyles essentially amounts to propaganda. they want you to buy their meat, so being that the distributors of products are the same distributors of information, it's not hard to control peoples' perspective. |

Sure we gotta look after them. The Planet is an intricate ecosystem. If we upset the balance, what would we eat? And what sort of Planet would we be left with? A dull one. But the point really is, if you don't eat Mary goose because mary goose didnt have her toenails clipped before she had her head chopped off, it really makes no difference. Mary Goose will be eaten. Being vegetarian...makes no difference. If you want to save Mary goose, youd have to stop the whole world from eating meat. And that's just downright fascism. Food is food. If you choose not to eat meat for a dietary reason thats 100% justifiable. If you choose not to for a spiritual reason, sure I understand. If you choose not to as some sort of fashion label or like a...you know to be part of this group of jimmy do-gooders...well no-one really cares. If you wanna eat a cow eat a cow, if you dont, dont. It's your stomach, not my stomach. It's up to you what you put in it. All that matters is are you gonna eat it or not. If not...stfu and pass the chicken drumsticks. |
