Let alone write a paper on.
Do you go to a turbo religious school?

Not really... homosexuality is a major issue in our world today. A public forum is a very good place to talk about it.

Yeah, but why should it be an issue?
People are just people.
Why is everyone SO obsessed with it?

I'm so sad for America and the passing of Prop 8 in those states.

The idea is that people make it an issue, because people are indeed people. Some with different views than you. It most certainly is an issue in America, and you should not ignore such large issues, they should be openly discussed to further understand all sides of the argument.

I'm not ignoring anything, I just thought that people had stepped into a more accepting world and grown up a little bit more.

I think it's a little insane to write about someone's reaction to what sexual orientation their favourite artist is. There shouldn't be a reaction. It shouldn't matter.

Some people are firm in their religious beliefs, you have to respect them too. Not all people that disagree with homosexuality are complete *sswipes.

I disagree.
I think that people who have faith and believe in something should also have faith in mankind, and be accepting.

Brings the golden rule to mind...

Again that is just you. Others feel different though, and thus it IS an issue, regardless of whether or not it should be. I'm just playing devil's advocate btw, this isn't how I personally feel but I can see why some people would have issues with homosexuality.

Blah, it just makes no sense to me.
I don't get it, I don't understand. And I don't want to.

I'd give anything for people to just let it go, you know?

That would require people to let go of religion, and I don't see that happening, as people are far too insecure.
