Naw man these arent weird. This is how Marvel gets down. Dismemberment, blood, and crazy fights. Its really a staple when Wolverine is involved.

It's about time, in my opinion, that Marvel starts producing work of this ilk. I'm getting bored with the PG, media-friendly superhero genre. Part of the reason I'm also impressed with Chris Nolan's re-envisioning of the Batman franchise.

Marvel has had comics with parental advisorys on them for years. Wolverine's had them since the 90s.
As far as movies go Marvel was the first with an R rated comic book movie. Anyone remember Blade and Blade 2 (the third one doesnt count). They were some of the best action movies ever made. The problem with the PG-13 thing is that while its better than PG its still too tame. I mean how much better would TDK have been if they didnt cut away from everything? Did anyone actually see a drop of blood. Now I'm not saying make it look like Kill Bill, which was great, but damn stop making every movie so watered down that the kids can go see it. They already have the saturday cartoons. Leave the silver screen for the adults. Rant Over.
