Halloween 08

What are you guys being?
My friend and I are gonna be Mario and Luigi. Im Luigi :)
It was between that and me and 2 friends being Run DMC..but we decided against it.

joyboyo53 10-04-2008 03:15 PM

last year i was john lennon circa sgt peppers and the lonely hearts club band as seen attached. this year since my hair is getting longer i might go for jim morrison.

Laces Out Dan! 10-04-2008 04:02 PM

Thats either actually Willie Nelson..or the best costume ever.

Alfred 10-04-2008 04:10 PM

I'm being a mummy, complete with toilet paper.

Last year I was an emo kid. It was gnarly.

Double X 10-04-2008 04:46 PM

I don't go out anymore for Halloween, but I will go to that one house on my street to get a king sized candy bar which they give out. :) love that couple.

lucifer_sam 10-04-2008 06:29 PM

It's only when you get to be drinking age that it actually gets REALLY fun. Girls dress like prostitutes. :)

I think I'm gonna go as Alex DeLarge this year...hair is long enough and I just need to find a bowler hat.

Alfred 10-04-2008 06:32 PM

All of my friends say they're going to stop going out next year.

Retards.

jibber 10-06-2008 06:16 PM

i'm going as a ghostbuster with 6 other friends. the wonderful thing is that we all pitched in, bought an old station wagon, and we turned it in to the ecto-1. this is what makes halloween so much more fun when you're an adult. you get much better costume opportunities. pictures will be posted later on.

sleepy jack 10-06-2008 06:57 PM

I'm going as Patrick Wolf or Kevin Barnes.

simplephysics 10-06-2008 07:18 PM

I'm being a bag of heroin.

jk, I'm going toga style, if it's not brass balls outside.

Inuzuka Skysword 10-06-2008 07:47 PM

I am hoping to be John McCain and my friend will be Barack Obama. Being tyrants will make us the scariest people on the block.

sleepy jack 10-06-2008 08:04 PM

I'm thinking about going as a cool politically out there kid who thinks he's being so cool and out there because he says really cool and out there things.

ProggyMan 10-06-2008 08:59 PM

I dunno yet, anyone got ideas?

RoemerMW 10-06-2008 09:16 PM

One of my friends is going as David Bowie. And it seems like every other person I've met is going as the Joker. I'm staying home and playing the score to Suspiria on our sound system (it's a million times better than all of those crappy Halloween sound effect cd's) while handing out candy. I'll probably end up going on a cheesy horror movie binge too.

Run DMC woulda been kick ass man. ****.

I'm thinking Joker or Two Face, but I think I'll go Two Face, seeing as there will be a billion Jokers in this city of less than 200 thousand. Last year I was gonna be Michael Myers because that's what everyone called me, but I went as Scarface, which was pimp.

WWWP 10-06-2008 10:07 PM

I'm being a tree.

I KNOW!

devilz advocate 10-07-2008 12:05 AM

I would probably be a sea urchin.

jackhammer 10-07-2008 01:18 AM

Americans go potty for Halloween don't they? I will do absolutely nothing as usual.

Fyrenza 10-07-2008 02:15 AM

over here

its either dress up and go make a fool of yourself

or stay home
give away candy
and let a bunch of kids make a fool of you

in other words, its a no-win sitch (situation)

so we make the best of it

Brad Stengel 10-07-2008 07:14 PM

Ooohhh Halloween 08, aka Transyl-mania, be there or be scared.

Me and my gf were gonna be sinners, I was going to dress as a homosexual and she was going to have a bloody fetus hanging out of her.

Halloween parties are the most off the chain parties of the year man. Girls have merit to dress as slutty as they want. Last Halloween I got with a pussycat doll, not everyday you can say that.

ProggyMan 10-07-2008 09:11 PM

Lol, ever been to a middle school Halloween Party? Hopefully it'll get better with High School.

So you dunked for apples together eh? ;). It certainly was'nt a criticism at all just an observation. Halloween parties were never like that when I was young (although it was like one hundred years ago).

Mr Sensitive 10-08-2008 10:03 AM

I'm going to a party as the Scarecrow from Batman Begins, everyone is going as the Joker so I'll be a little different.

potionsforfoxes 10-08-2008 10:52 AM

i'm thinking about going as a LoLCat with a "IM AT YR PARTEE DRNKN YR BEERZ" sign

RoemerMW 10-08-2008 05:34 PM

I'm thinking about going as Rorschach from Watchmen.

Construction began last night.

WaspStar 10-15-2008 07:11 AM

I haven't dressed up or gone out for Halloween since I was in 4th grade. Does that mean I'm a complete dud, or what? :p

Bulldog 10-15-2008 07:13 AM

I'll be going for the David Vanian look myself

Kevorkian Logic 10-15-2008 07:20 AM

Franklin Street Halloween this year!!!! ****ing awesome.

My bf wants to go as john Lennon and Yoko Ono, but I think i'm going to go as the costume below.
http://badgirlsincdirect.com/graphic...mages/8452.jpg
the bottom will be a bit more of a tutu though, my bf wants me to write Mary Magdalen on my stomach though, cause if he's not Lennon he's going to be jesus.

that's not a costume...thats just lingerie. If you write mary magdalene on your stomach, basically the same thing with some sharpie marker.

Gotta love halloween, gives such a wonderful outlet for girls to grab attention.

Kevorkian Logic 10-15-2008 02:37 PM

I'm very aware that it is just lingerie. But believe it or not the above costume is considered modest for Franklin street, considering it is mainly topless girls running around.

So you're explaining your modesty by comparing it to chicks who run around topless....

a 250lbs chick is still fat standing next to a 300lbs one; and a girl wearing a bra and tutu, even when standing next to a topless girl...
but you'll get loads of attention.

She said the costume would be considered modest, but i don't remember her saying one word about her own modesty.

Okay, you've got me! A girl wearing a bra and tutu, even when standing next to a topless girl... is what? Completely covered as opposed to half-naked? Still a female? Fat, even if the woman standing next to her weighs more?

Skiers, in skin-tight 'costumes,' reveal more than Kevorkian has chosen to ~ do you say things like, "Gotta love a good race ~ gives such a wonderful outlet for skiers to grab attention?"

well, guess I'm gonna have yo walk you through this one. No matter what you compare it to, a girl walking around in a bra and tutu is obviously begging for attention. tons of girls do it, not only on halloween either.

Your reference to skiers was cute. the difference is, a chick walking around in a bra and and a tutu has no reason for it other than to get attention. Same goes for a guy walking around in a spedo and bow tie for a chip and dale costume.

a skier in a race suit is concentrating on their sport. it's required for downhill racers to wear racers. thats it, thats all.

thanks for coming out though.

No offense, jibber, but i really don't need you to walk me through anything ~ especially since it would appear that you missed the fact that i was just jerking your chain, there...

Professional dancers would not fall into your category of attention grabbers, any more than skiers. A dancer is concentrating on their job. The costumes are not the dancers choice, any more than the race suits are the skiers choices ~ it's just the nature of the beast.

Before dismissing me, you might want to consider that this entire thread (and our Halloween tradition) is dedicated to what you call 'attention grabbers,'

so you jumping in when a female says she's going to dress provocatively?

Just sounds like a bad case of sour grapes, girlfriend...
