It may says that you're 21, but you look like a 15 year old cunt. I hate blonde pricks like you, and I know you are a fuckin moron cuz I invited you once. What an intolerant slut, damn. Should be banned from here, forever. Anyways, I hope you FUCKIN rot in your own fuckin puke. Thanks for your attention.[/I]

lol, wtf?
The "Thanks for your attention" made me chuckle. After all that vomit before it, to finish with a little polite thank you was a funny touch.

I agree with you but.....I think..to a guy who's only got 6-10 posts(Me)... who's a newbie on this site to begin with shouldn't get the "7 day ban treatment" just because I failed to read the fine print(rules)and the mod in question feels the need to flex the admin muscle just because I was joking around and being a goof. It must be serious business on this forum. Have a pilsner on me and relax those mod muscles.

I do appreciate it.....I just read the rules and it seems like the only question that I have is: What can we talk about? It seems like there more rules to follow than anything. I thought the idea of forums was to be able to talk about anything at anytime and nothing is taboo. ???? someone please clarify this for me.

Well, the point of this forum is to talk about music.

Hence musicbanter.

Why not? Your first step as a new member of pretty much anything should be to read the rules.

I think a heart to heart would have been more appropriate...don't you?

I know but this is the lounge...I figured that any topic is taboo and not within the natural basis of the forum agenda.

No. As Tore mentioned and you ignored, we deal with spammers here on a constant basis. It not our job to have a heart to heart with everyone we think might be a spammer. It's your responsibility to read the rules and follow them, simple as that.

Do you plan on becoming actively involved in the music discussions going on here or are you just here to complain about the rules?

What are you complaining about? Just stop. You can't advertise your band here. End discussion.

It's nothing personal. Truth is we get a lot of people in here and so we can afford to be a little selective with newcomers. I'm not saying we ban people for no reason, but when new members join up, break the rules and give us reason to think they're not gonna contribute with anything positive to the community, we tend to be rather strict. As Janszoon wrote to you, it happens too often for us to have a heart to heart with all. We don't get paid for the work we do.

Usually our members never see it happen - posts are deleted and a lot of banned members are never around long enough for people to really notice they got the boot. However, it can pay now and then to let people know - members both new and old - we're here and we are moderating the site. It's not common practice to post about it every time we ban someone, but because you were so direct and honest in this thread, you were made an example of. You replied to my post and it seemed natural to reply to your reply.

That's why the mod muscles were flexed. Needless to say, if you write a post to a moderator on the forum where you tell him or her that you are intentionally breaking the rules, you should expect a reply in the form of a post or PM and, of course, to be moderated.

Both!!!...... naw man I'm just kidding!!! LOL
I am a part of a couple of other music discussions on here right now. I just call into question some of the ethics of the mods that I'm used to dealing with on other sites compared to this one...that's all. I'm not trying to buck the system as much as I'm trying to understand it and I just thought getting the 7 day basement grounding was a little excessive on the mods part. As I post on here you'll come to find out that alot of what I do and say is satire, cheeky, and comedic in nature. Only meant to be taken lightly and not to heart. I do make valid points when I need to but for the most part I try to be a comedian and make people laugh and since I was a music major in college I will most definitely be talking about music.
