This is actually a good assumption from my experience. Those people try so hard to show off. The worst are the ones at college that sit under the tree in high foot traffic areas and stumble around on their acoustic trying to play Jack Johnson. Fuck them.

Haha.

I know exactly what you mean. I used to laugh at this oblivious fuck who would play a 4/4 C progression for about six hours straight in the sunlight near the commons. Some idiot came down and tried to duet a sax with him once, he sucked just as bad.

1: I am a douch, but i'm ok with that
2: I didn't play the standard 4/4 G/C and sometimes D progression, usually i was practicing scales or trying different chordal structure
3: i would avoid people and try to find obscure places but it turnes out i had a small school and sound travels,

It's even worse when you have to walk 5 miles to your friends house with a guitar on your back... not having a car sucks.

Mine's a little different. four classes a semester two academics and two electives, all lasting the whole semester, except that i'm taking two A/B's which just makes everything confusing.

I'm not sure if it works the same in America, but over here we have BTEC courses (all your classes involve the same lesson, e.g. hair and beauty) the International Bacceleurate (hard as ****) and A Levels. I'm at a sixth form college now where they only do A Levels, but in my old college, you could pretty much fit everyone into the same category by what they were studying.

There was the IB students, which I was for about 3 months before I realised I was useless. They generally thought they were better than everyone else because they took an unruly amount of subjects and could usually be found hunting for knowledge in the library. Then I switched to BTEC Media, which was full of the braindead types who had next to nothing to offer the world. The only other 2 courses that were being utilised in the BTEC program to my knowledge were Art and Sport Science. Art was full of stoners and no-hopes whilst Sport Science was full of everybody else in the college. Oh, and then there was the BTEC music group, who everyone knew existed but you never saw them about much... unless they were in the canteen chortling goofily to each other. You used to see flyers up around the college for their performances that no one ever turned up to.

A levels is a lot different now as all of those categories are none existent, and everyone is just as useless as each other. Apart from the Science block, where you're either asian or phenomenally fruity.

I bring my guitar to school for only once every couple weeks and thats only to jam on my piano class or just play with some friends in lunch or to just serenate my girlfriend the whole day, I'm not a douche , but I do know this one Jack Johnson song which I only learned for this amazingly hot chick like a year ago :P Better Together. I pretty much play all kinds of songs.

Picked Artist.
