I finally got some much-needed fun, in addition to finding my way back to King's Island amusement park for the first time in several years.
It was for the annual "Fear Fest," a surreal experience in which the park remained open until 1 am, covered in artificial fog and full of haunted houses and mazes...with major rides left open for a lower price. I got to experience several things I've never experienced. First, I finally rode Diamondback, and it was just as fun and thrilling as I'd heard. With the weather in the upper twenties to low thirties (Fahrenheit) the whole time, the park covered in fog and scare actors not held to merely the haunted attractions, this added a little extra oomph. Also rode The Beast at midnight. I checked my phone for the time as the car in front of us left the station, and it was 11:57pm. Our train came up immediately, and left within a few minutes. At a ride that clocks in at four minutes, we were definitely climbing or plunging down that first hill and careening into the woods at midnight. For the event, they shut off all of the lights on the track, and on the maintenance road, so it was damn near pitch black even outside of the tunnels. It was the top coaster experience of my life, with the hour, the darkness, and the frigid cold as we flew through the trees. I ended up losing my cigarette lighter on diamondback, as I left it in a regular pocket as opposed to zipped up in an interior pocket...but Diamondback giveth, and Diamondback taketh away.

We exist. That's reason enough to rejoice. It's taken some 13 billion years (if them pesky scientists are right) for the universe to express itself through you. We are all the big bang still doing it's thing. We don't need to try to make life a clebration or wonderful or interesting, we don't need to work at it, it already is all those things.

I'm a miserable little sin. My mom passed away and I'm not happy at all with my life anymore. My dad already has a girlfriend that I refuse to call her by her name. My friend Jen is in love with my favorite band mate Dex. I agree with ya, Mr. Charlie. 100%.

That's nothing. I dropped my pen today. It was awful! I didn't want it dropped and I certainly didn't expect it dropped. I expect the universe to unfold in the way I expect it to. I had to bend down to pick it up. Really depressed me it did.

My goddamn green card has finally been approved and has been sent for production and should arrive in a few weeks. For whatever retarded reason you're not allowed to begin the renewal process until it's 6 months from expiration so I had to wait until May to start the process. Waited a few days and got my letter telling me when I needed to go in for my photo and fingerprints where they also put this sticker thing on it extending it until December 31st. Unfortunately my driver's license is tied to my green card so around mid-October I had to go and renew my driver's license (which was set to expire on October 27th) till the end of the year, which I get to go do again when my new card arrives.
The "average wait time" is stated to be 3.5 months, it took me 7. |
