Today I have made a major accomplishment. I have finished the first complete draft of my sitcom pilot screenplay, after approximately two years of work.

Now, to divorce myself emotionally from it before it gets pissed on in critiques.

I would be honoured if you would. PM link forthcoming, and I would be grateful for both positive and critical feedback.

I got a call back from a job my friend is trying to hook me up with. He, in turn, heard it from someone I used to be good friends with as a kid. I must have been 6-7 years old. I hadn't seen him since then. I definitely recognized him. He said he could get anyone a job, and I do wonder if he was part of why I got called. Regardless, I'm pretty damn excited. You can work as much overtime as you want. You want to work 6am to 10pm? Shore! Why not. He said you can expect $900-$1200 every two weeks, depending on how long you want to work. Fuggin. Amazing.

Congratulations hun! Do you officially have the job? I have to admit, that job sounds pretty good money wise.

Thanks! I don't officially have it, but I'm confident. And yeah, I don't know if you can get any better than that as far as entry level jobs go. I used to be thrilled at the idea of getting $200 a week. Now I'll be getting over twice that. I don't have any real "bills" to worry about either. I just pay for my part of the phone bill and car insurance. In a few months I should have more than enough for a car.

I sucked out the last of the poison from a fresh wound
time to heal an old wound, I don't know if I'm strong enough to do it myself

Yay neat! That will be great to get a car. Too bad I still can't drive. But I will one day. My fingers are crossed for you!

You are. I don't think you realise how strong you come off.

I started a new job about two weeks ago and so far I love it. The work is extremely challenging, which I love. My co-workers are great, friendly, interesting people. The pay is a hell of a lot better than my last job. I feel like I'm learning a lot. Hell, I even enjoy the campus. I've worked in a lot of office complexes in my day, but this is the only one I'd describe as actually an attractive place to be.

Also, we adopted a kitten this weekend who just so happens to be the cutest thing on Earth. I'm sure I'll be posting picture of him soon.
