I feel you man. For the longest time I was getting my opinions from Wikipedia via my garden hose but it was just way too slow.

Hey, I use a garden hose and it works great. You just have to make sure there's no kinks.

This is a day late, but I was in no state to be doing anything on a computer yesterday, but here you go.

I successfully managed to throw a fucking amazing party that never once got out of control or stopped being fun. There was only about 20 people in total throughout the entire night, but it made the party feel a little more intimate with everybody mingling because it was some of my friends, some of my roommates friends, and some of our neighbors. There was a chocolate fountain, fresh fruit, bree and crackers, chips, salami, some candy, and an ungodly amount of booze and pot. We also had a projector playing films like Braindead (1992) and Return of the Living Dead and a really good post-punk mix I made. Oh, we also got to keep the projector, so now we're going to start doing monthly movie showings at our place. Invite a few people over, make a big ass pot of spaghetti or something easy that can feed a lot of people then watch a movie or something.

I can definitely feel my social life is about to expand quite a bit.

Nice. We do that every weekend during Football season. Yesterday we had a 20lb turkey, 10lb ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, mixed veggies, hummus, salsa, chips, dips, and lots and lots of beer.

Our half-time festivities consist of me playing with my remote helecopter, while trying not to take someones eye out or end up in the salsa.

Damn, every weekend? Do you do all the cooking or is it more of a potluck?

I'm thinking this movie night idea might be one Saturday a month, that way I don't bankrupt myself trying to feed everyone.

Every weekend. Either I buy/cook, or the GF does. It was her turn when we had the Ham/Turkey, so she cooked (just had a killer ham salad sandwitch, btw). She's one of those people that will "over-do" things, so lots of times she'll still be cooking while the Bears play, which is kind of sad since she's a big fan, but she puts others before herself. I usually do something easy like Sloppy Joes, Beef sangwidges, or just get a couple sacks of Sliders. For most meals, like pot roast or chili, etc., a good crockpot or two also helps. Just plop everything into it in the morning then at halftime, voila!
