I can't help but wonder if meta-pickup lines wouldn't work better - like meta-jokes, making a pickup line about the fact that pickup lines are so ridiculously cheesy.

Hehe say what ever you think would be funny. If you find it funny its probably gonna make her laugh as well. Its kind of like how people laugh from hearing other people laugh.

Exactly. Just make fun of the whole situation. She knows what you want anyways.

The thing is that it's just an easy way to be direct yet humorous at the same time.

Good point although I don't agree with the she knows what you want part. I find playing with what a girls perception of what you want from is a fun and effective way to attract. Not to an extreme of course but done playfully it keeps things from being all rigid and boring. I find if I am ever obvious with what I want from a girl things tend to die pretty quickly.

Oh, that way's good too; it's all in the same league really. Poking fun at the situation is just another way to be playful and I think it kind of bypasses the awkwardness of the whole thing.

I still think that most of the time she knows what you're up to though, regardless of how blunt you are. Then again, I could be way off base and be completely misjudging them. Wouldn't be the first time.

Nah its understandable but its not always about how much she deep down knows what you want (presumably sex) but how well you are at veiling
that enough where she can know its there but have something to fall back on and bail out at any time if she feels uncomfortable. Essentially giving social freedom I guess is a good word to describe it (or at least the perception of social freedom).

In many ways I see this important for relationships outside of dating and sex as well. I think Osho once said that love is about the freedom that being with another person gives you and and you give them I definitely agree with that.

That's funny that you and your moms birthday are so close together you guys must bond around that time. Sounds like a fun weekend. Don't forget to study though a bad test on your birthday may outweigh the fun of having a relaxed birthday weekend.

Im so excited for my birthday in a month gonna finally be 18. Especially since its on a Friday. Expecting to be perpetually intoxicated for a few days. Being 17 in university is no fun.
