Oh I didn't know he lies, what has he lied about?
|
He claimed he was under three hundred pounds at one point in his life.

I thought it was great Lespaul.
If Dave Chappelle had done this skit everybody would think it was hysterical. Why does he have to offer a solution to the problem? Its the police who should be working on it. He was simply making some funny social commentary. I laughed. |

Chapelle would never do a bit like that, he'd be much more clever. Moore uses real people, real examples and he undermines the nations police force as well NYCs' publicly. He fails to mention what else those people we're doing other then reaching into their pockets for regular items.
Example: In one of those cases the person who they shot had been shooting at them with a shotgun he discarded before fleeing then refusing to show his hands when cornered. What would you think he was reaching for? The thing that bothers me is we do need to hold police more accountable for their actions, but when you try to make your point the way Moore does you and your point loose credibility. |
Satire is done best when when it makes a point. I don't think this did. I just don't think something like this need satirising.
I've never been in the situation where i've had to make a split second decision to decide if someone is going into their pockets for a wallet or a gun and I hope I never have to either. To belittle the people who have to do that for a job just makes Moore look like an idiot to me and looks like it was done for cheap laughs rather than to make a point. |
