Last time I checked, Underoath wasn't a post-emo band in the 90's.
Jimmy Eat World released one post-emo album, and then went completely mainstream, "influencing" other bands. Although, that's not to say that SDRE wasn't involved. I don't see where Underoath comes into this, aside from having scene cred.

I'm aware that JEW isn't scene, but I've seen scene bands cite them as influences, namely Fall Out Boy. I think you've completely misunderstood me. Yeah, I like a bit of their stuff.

Fall Out Boy also cites Gorilla Biscuits and Joy Division are you going to start blaming them for the emo fad too? You know who else a bunch of faux-emo bands cite as influences? The Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies, Nofx, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones, Black Flag, Descendants, Bad Religion and countless other "real punk" bands. I'm not misunderstanding you you're trying to blame a perfectly decent band for a trend that all the bands you worship have much more of an effect on and it's ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as you listening to the bands of the fad you're bashing.
