I despise American accents.
I love British accents .
And I swear that only a very minimal number of Australians speak like the "let's throw a shrimp on the barbie" bogans.

^ 2 of your three statements greatly disheartened me.

How do you feel about the accents of Americans who were raised by immigrant Irish parents.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

People ask me if I'm Australian because, apparently, I say "no worries" a lot and that just happens to be something many Australian people supposedly say. Truth is I'm a Spanish dude living in Canada, so I have this weird hybrid of influences from all over.

The only request to be heard over the phone has been to hear my voice, which has made some blush

Which two?

I probably should rephrase my opinion.
I don't dislike all American accents. Just the really... uneducated, hick-ish ones. And Dr. Phil. And the fact that Australians always put on American accents when they do big films.

Heh, I don't need a video to experience a Boston accent, I lived it for the first 23 years of my life.

My Boston accent is mostly gone at this point or so I'm told, and I have more of a generic American accent (although I've had several people tell me I sound like I'm Canadian), but get me drunk, especially if I'm with friends back home, and the accent begins to resurface.

Of course they don't! I was just trying to explain the type of American accents that don't appeal to me.
