I can relate. Even though my Boston accent is almost completely gone, it usually makes it's presence known when I say "palm" or "Miller Lite".

I have a very midwest sounding accent.

I help out a summer camp and every time I go I'm told I have an accent....or maybe it's just me, I did grow up around a lot of different ethnicities and languages within my family.

Definitely. Though in my experience people from the UP sound a lot like people from Wisconsin.

Well I think Youpers(upper peninsula-living folks) have accents too but I never imagined I'd hear someone inform me I have an accent since I was born and raised in southeastern Michigan. Maybe its a strange mix between Detroit-talk and Canada?
