haha no not to the extreme as "Strange Brew" but yes I do have an accent. That is kind of what sn was sayin' in a nutshell too. I mean sn you have an accent you just don't think you do (and just because others accents are stronger than yours doesn't mean there put on, just different exposure).
EDIT : I also want to add I have never and never will say aboot (about). This American girl giggled at me one time and said I said it man I was pissed cuz I know I NEVER say it.

LOL...tis true. Does this mean I fail as a Texan?

Whenever I go to visit relatives in Ohio or Alaska, they constantly make fun of my accent. And I seriously don't even think it's that strong.

i think alot of it has to do with how we were raised,...how we learned to talk,....

my mother has a very texas accent, my daddy is from south georiga and growing up i spent alot of time there,......so, sometimes i sound texan, and sometimes i sound southern,....

I tend to agree with this. I don't think I have a strong accent (except for the whole y'all thing of course), but when I talk to someone from up north they make me feel like a toothless hillbilly.

A Texan drawl doesnt do much for me at all I'm afraid. Now if it's French or a soft Irish lilt then I'm knocked bandy (Swooning). I have a Slovakian friend who loves my accent and is constantly amazed by the sheer number of different accents we have in Britain.

I have to say though that certain phrases sound great in whatever accent they are spoken in
