isnt it funny how alcohol brings out the accent

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

It is weird. I've heard that one of the ways linguists study regional accents is by getting people to talk about their childhood or about their grandparents. For whatever reason those things help people regress back to their roots. Maybe alcohol does the same kind of thing.

Everyone I've met here in Cali so far say that I have an accent - I moved from Wyoming - but I think I just say things weird.

why not? trust me, there are times when i can be quite unsophisticated,.....and boorish? yep i can be that too,.....as for the provincial, i grew up in the country, i live in the country,....i think thats considered 'provincial' now days,....

i think there are negative cogitations lent to words that souldnt evoke such,.....

I have a cleveland accent, whatever that means. All I know is that they teach news anchors to talk like us
