Default Babysitters?

How much should I pay a babysitter?
For the night, or by the hour?
How much?
No indecent replies please.

Approx £5 some and £3.60 if I can't be bothered to find a converter. Personally I think it all depends on how nice your kid is

We gave her about £15 for just short of 4 hours.
Maybe we should have made it 20?

Usually one of my nieces sits for nothing, but we went out on short notice and drafted next doors girl in...

Thats not bad. It doesn't matter what you think about the price. Did she seem happy when you paid her?
I've learned that if you overpay, they will be eager and cancel plans if you need them again.

When I babysit I usually get anywhere from $5 to 8 an hour, it really just depends on how belligerent the kid(s) are and if cooking/cleaning is involved.
When I get paid by the day (meaning all day) it's usually around $20/25.

I think what you paid her is fair.

I feel better about what I paid now.
Question: Are you happy with that?
