That's funny. I was just talking about this with my girlie. She wants me to move to San Francisco where the hills are steep and the weather's sh*tty. Meanwhile, I'm out here in the burbs where it's sunny every. single. day. So I don't know what's going to happen. In any case, I still prefer cities, and the bigger the better. Suburbs depress me. Yet, ironically, I'd prefer to live in the country over the burbs.

Suburbs take the very worst from both the city and the country and combine them into one giant sprawl of sh*t. They're isolated, have no sense of history or personality, back onto wide, busy main roads, and the only culture is found in strip malls. Wheather i'm driving out of the city or back into it, watching the row upon row of near-identical houses go by always disgusts me to no end.
If i'm living in a city, I'm living IN the city. If i'm living in the country, i'm living in a small town in the mountains where a 20 minute walk can bring me into isolated nature and the feeling that no one is around for miles.

For once, I agree with Jibber. I absolutely detest the suburbs. I detest the snotty stuckup teenage punks that live there, but more than that I detest the parents.
In a country that was basically founded upon lies, this is a group of people who, more often than not, were not extraordinarily hard workers, but rather just the best at lying. I don't imagine how anyone who earned their money through legitimacy or hard work, could possibly want to live in a place that is so plastic and hollow. If there's ever another civil war in this country, those are going to be the first motherf*ckers that are going to go. F*ck 'em. F*ck F*ck F*ck those overindulgent, materialistic, viagra popping, in need of lypo, robe wearing, America hating, America flag waving, Christian, hypocritical c*cksucking pieces of dogsh*t. With the exception of the few decent ones, wherever they are. |

Don’t be biased like that, please. I live in the suburbs, rich ones to more that matter. . They are ok, were not rich, we just don’t want to live in the only real "CITY" in our state. There are plenty of small mountain towns, and big cities too( as in skyscrapers, lots of apartments, awake 24 hours). We've got a lot of suburbs and rich houses, and were a big city too, but only some of the 'motherf*ckers' are like that. I'd like to say I don’t have my head stuck up my butt. Also, and city doesn’t have those overindulgent, materialistic, viagra popping, in need of lypo, robe wearing, America hating, America flag waving, Christian, hypocritical c*cksucking pieces of dogsh*t.? Right. Sure.
(Note: Sorry, if that was supposed to be a joke, it just set me off, so I'm usually not like this, I just don’t like broad generalization.) Last edited by 46secondanthem; 06-07-2008 at 11:37 AM. |

I live in the city, but I love me some country too! Here in Houston, they call neighborhoods in suburbs "planned communities". The other day my mom and I were talking about how much that sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie, where they herd everyone off to a "planned community" and then brain-wash them or alter them genetically to all look and act alike. Imagine our shock when we found out that's not far from the truth.
