All we can be sure that there are some times when the ugly people are happier than the rest of us.
That was pretty gross. Also, I don't recall anyone equating being fat with being ugly. That was harsh and unnecessary.

I can say from personal experience that for the most part you all are right. People are just fat because they like to eat AND they don't exercise enough. They go hand in hand. Despite what I've posted in other threads, I actually eat pretty decently, a lot of whole foods and tons of water. But I'm still overweight. And when I was exercising I was dropping the pounds like nobody's business. But as soon as I stopped, it came to a screeching halt. Mostly, people are just fat because they make poor lifestyle choices. And while it is true that junk food tends to be cheaper in most cases, I think the real issue is just that it's more readily accessible and requires less preparation than buying whole foods that you have to prepare (which can also be acquired at a reasonable price). Most people (especially in America) are just too lazy and/or tired from work to make a decent meal anymore. Also, exercise can be incorporated into pretty much anyone's lifestyle. You don't necessarily have to put time aside to do it.

It just takes effort people. That's really what it boils down to.
