I got a 71. :( My typing has took a significant dive since I stopped playing video games 8+ hours a day.

I can type really fast using 3 fingers but I have to look at the keys.

I couldn't get above 48 on the first one. In my defense, I hadn't had a computer for over a decade, and I am also typing on a ****ty laptop keyboard, while laying down on my bed. I can definitely do better normally, but I'm still clearly far below what I'd like to be. It also doesn't help that I am far too OCD to not try to fix my errors, which kills your word count more than it saves.

Edit: although on the practice test on that second link I just nailed 66. So that makes me feel better. I'm chalking it up to a lack of capital letters in that one. The Aesop thing was bull****. I consistently **** up when using the shift key.

I remember doing typing tests in elementary school, like grade 3 or something, and you were top **** if you could get 58 WPM. Nowadays kids probably get beat up if they don't hit 100 WPM by the age of 9.

100? I'm a kid, and I top out at about 80. Didn't think 100 was even possible.

I'm pretty sure you have to be someone who types all day for a job to get that. My mom does that and it's pretty crazy seeing her at work.

I'd beat the **** out of those little punks before they got to me with my 79 wpm fingers.

There are many of us in this thread who have long joined the 100 club, it's really just from growing up on computers / using them a lot. PC gaming probably helps a lot too.
