This is where it's at though:

TypeRacer - Test your typing speed and learn to type faster. Free typing game and competition. Way more fun than a typing tutor!

I got 66 adjusted the first time, and I actually was not even trying at first.

Oddly, I was trying the second time and I did worse and got a 65. lol

I can type really fast using 3 fingers but I have to look at the keys.

Typing the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody.
I think I was pretty on par with the original tempo.

I couldn't get above 48 on the first one. In my defense, I hadn't had a computer for over a decade, and I am also typing on a ****ty laptop keyboard, while laying down on my bed. I can definitely do better normally, but I'm still clearly far below what I'd like to be. It also doesn't help that I am far too OCD to not try to fix my errors, which kills your word count more than it saves.

Edit: although on the practice test on that second link I just nailed 66. So that makes me feel better. I'm chalking it up to a lack of capital letters in that one. The Aesop thing was bull****. I consistently **** up when using the shift key.

I remember doing typing tests in elementary school, like grade 3 or something, and you were top **** if you could get 58 WPM. Nowadays kids probably get beat up if they don't hit 100 WPM by the age of 9.
