no human can survive for long in the van allen belt, we're talking around 2 weeks, the astronauts were only in it for about half an hour, the hull of the spacecraft also provided some protection

the craft that returned from the moon showed signs of being exposed to radiation, as would be expected if it had passed through the van allen belt

the flag was on an pole shaped like an upside down L to hold it up, as they drive the poll into the ground it will make the poll shake causing ripples it the flag, with no air risistence to stop it this would last much longer than on earth, later in the video you can see the flag remains perfectly still even when the astronauts are moving around it, this would only happen in a vacum

everything in the video is what you would expect if it was filmed in a vacuum under low gravity

also it was the hight of the cold war, russia had spies in nasa, if it was a hoax it would have been of the front page of pravda

I'm not even very sure what happened or if it did or not because it's never been something I've been too interested in. I'm just stating what they taught us in school to you.

I'm no expert either and I won't be rushing to wikipedia to find the "facts".
I recall someone questioned the use of cameras on the moon and the person pointed out that the radiation from an airport screening thingy (a minimal amount by comparison) can wipe the film in the camera clean.
When it was put to NASA, they responded (apparently, can't back this up) that they wrapped the camera in tin foil!
If that's true, then someone is taking the piss.

Its a pretty crazy case. Cause there is evidence showing that it was a fake. The flag was flapping as if in the wind..and as we know..there is no air in the atmosphere on the moon. And the Cold War was just a constant battle of saying..Im better now...No, im better now and such. The Cold War in retrospect is actually pretty funny.

Pen and Teller did an episode of Bullshit! (ha! i still remember how to get past the filter) on conspiracy theories and interviewed a guy that wrote a [shoddy] book about this very topic. Either way America has nukes and is gonna get dem tourists.

uhh....not really, actually no, not at all. To YOU looking back it may seem like that, but if you do some further research you'll actually discover that aside from the huge number of legitimate threats flying back and forth, the cold war was mainly about the entire world taking a side (east or west) and aligning themselves with the two powers. Vietnam war, korean war, the war in afghanistan against russia, all were wars DIRECTLY related to the cold war. oh, and if you want to figure out how close the us was to being nuked, look into the bay of pigs incident.

I really don't think it would be possible to cover that kind of thing up,
I mean, NASA scientists are some of the most intelligent people on
Earth and I would take their word over some crack-pot conspiracy
theorist any day.
