how do I get music I recently downloaded into my itunes library? any help will be apperciated

It says: The File "Elliott Smith-Roman Candlezip"cannot be imported because it does not appear to be a valid exported file

Mp3 music, I can play it on the windows media player but not my itunes.

Are you sure the file isnt a wma file.
Can itunes play wma format?

Itunes converts .wma so that wouldn't matter.
