I live in the Portland Oregon area. There were no 360's available in the area at all 3 weeks ago. I had a friend that had to drive 200 miles to get one for her sons birthday. The nearest 360 was 200 miles away when there were PS3's all over the place. My sister couldn't find one for her kids in Jan. She lives in Nashville. I haven't looked since then but I don't expect to much difference.
Who is looking at Playstation as only PS3? I know it is a large brand just the same as Nintendo. Microsoft has one game system unless you want to count the real #1 gaming platform.
Worldwide sales match the PS3 and 360. American sales show the 360 leading PS3 by about 2 million units in the first year. When you compare world wide sales the numbers are closer to matched.
Market analysts see the spike in PS3 sales as a result of the end of the format wars. PS3 is the current cheapest Blue Ray player on the market. When decent stand alone Blue Ray players drop below the price of PS3 the sales will drop off again. Right now, the bottom of the barrel players are equal price with PS3.

I don't care how has better sales....I love my ps3....I bought my ps3 thinking that gta4 was coming out in october and it got pushed back ....but I'll just enjoy army of two and uncharted til it comes out....the graphics on uncharted is ridiculous...I love how the water splashes on your jeans and slowly dries as you continue on

That's exactly what it comes down to. Which one do you like better. Sales don't matter as long as you get what you want out of it.

You do know GTA4 was pushed back because the Ps3 was having trouble running the graphics. All the trailers you seen are run on the 360.
