Not a typo, the PS2 outsold the PS3.

Another indicator is the number of games sold. I'll only be listing multi platform games in the top 10-PS3 vs. 360.

I'm pretty sure that the numbers speak for themselves.

There are no PS3 exclusive games in the top 10. There are 2 Nintendo exclusives and 1 360 exclusive.

Without the support of games the console is a piece of shit. I'll take the ring of death (which I still have not gotten) over lack of support. At least MS will fix my 360 for free if it breaks inside 3 years. Sony isn't gonna ship some games my way to make up for the crappy selection.

that is in america, i have already shown the months in japan where the ps3 outsold the wii, and outsold the 360 7-1.

America is really the only country where people go ape**** over halo. Sony is doing fine, the psp is selling like crazy, and the ps3 is 2nd in most other countries. Plus, those figures are 3 months old, both of those games have sold much better since then.

And considering the install base, those aren't bad numbers.

also, all the numbers i got were from either kotaku.com and joystiq. Both reliable.

And you keep saying crappy selection. ITs been 1 year, and sony has done far better then the 360 did in its 1st year.

Sony is fine, blue ray won the format war. Even ea believes the ps3 will outsell the 360 this year. What game support are you getting next year out of your 360 in terms of exclusivity? You have 1, gears 2.



ps3 has, i listed before, resistence 2, killzone 2, final fantasy (maybe) little big planet, home, mgs4, gt4 etc.

I just got a 360 elite this week, and it has been one unproductive week! I'm really impressed with it..PS3 didn't have the games and the hardware specs, while impressive, don't mean jack without good games...I bought Oblivion, Orange Box, and Forza 2 and they are all amazing games...the best time waster EVER!

@crow t robot- YES! you've made agood choice I have all those games you've listed they are great. Some suggestions COD4, Halo 3, Gears of War.

This doesn't do anything for the fact that in order to bypass 360 in sales the PS3 will need over 7 million units sold with no more 360's sold. It would need to sell 12 million to match the Wii.

How is that? The sales numbers are pretty close to equal for the first year. Still to this day I go into a store and there are no Wii's or 360's available, but there are plenty of PS3's on the shelf waiting to be bought.
