I was amused by this parody of Sarah McLachlan's ASPCA commerical, although I can understand the view that the parody trivializes the harm experienced by pets due to their abusive owners:
Parody "Depressing ASPCA Commercial" featuring the innocent people who were deeply emotionally scarred because of viewing the Sarah McLachlan ASPCA commericial about abused pets Depressing ASPCA Commercial - YouTube And here, for comparison's sake, is... The Original Commercial Sarah McLachlan Animal Cruelty Video, which some people love and feel is very moving, while others feel it is manipulative. The commercial worked, however, so I think a large number of people were moved. In fact, the commercial "generated an estimated record-breaking $30 million for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals."
