I hate this stupid super bowl commercial it's pretty much trying to say that spousal abuse is okay and then they had to go all cliche near the end with the black girl checking out the hot white female. who greenlit this garbage?

Eh, I don't see the issue. As a guy I'm not offended in the least. I can't speak for the black stereotype but that never crossed my mind when I watched it. If they put a black girl in at the end then you could just as easily argue that other races weren't represented enough (even though even that would seem ridiculous to me). Not sure why I'm rambling so much about this though. Non-issue.

oh so you are okay with the spousal abuse? if the guy was the one throwing **** at his wife and beating her up there would be a HUGE outcry.

I don't debate that actually. There probably would be an uproar if the roles were reversed. There's definitely a double standard there. But personally, when I watch that commercial I'm just not offended by it. I don't take it seriously, it's just a commercial. And I don't condone spousal abuse at all.

oh there is also the issue of fleeing the scene of a crime even though it's just assault....still....and the whole black guy lusting after a white girl is cliche if it was another black girl or any other race it would have been fine but I guess that whole part of it is a non issue compared to everything else that's wrong with the commercial.
The only reason they approved of this commercial is because they want everyone talking about it tomorrow at work.

I have never taken any commercial seriously. I mean how does this influence anything? Next time I throw a pop can at a woman I'll be more inclined to run away? Maybe I'm just being naive to how other people's minds work but I really don't see how this can create such an uproar. It's a commercial. It's supposed to be funny and not taken seriously.

yeah that's the point, it's supposed to be funny and not taken seriously but it fails at it because of the way they made it. different strokes for different folks but I didn't find it funny at all
