Dude, as long as you keep making ellipses with only two periods you will remain poor.

No, just depression in suburbia gets more attention.

You ever see that video of the guy that jumped off a building and landed on a sidewalk pillar and you can see it poking through his neck under the skin?

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Yea it gets more attention both by society and by the individual. If you are poor and depressed you have an immediate villain to blame: poverty.

If your life seems like it's going well but you feel off, then you see the doctor.

So as a result, a lot of the people in those shelters and rehabs and even jail will tend to be more positively minded and less woe is me than their depressed suburban counterparts.

I imagine people in rehab are just trying desperately to pick their sense of self off the floor and gluing it back together with whatever philosophy or rhetoric they can.

It goes beyond that. When you get into a certain state, survival instinct kicks in. The abstract washes off your back with ease. The immediate takes top priority.

I feel like you're making untrue generalizations. Especially since most of my poor suburban friends and family have been through jail, shelters and rehabs and they are depressed as ****.

I mean generalizations by nature have exceptions

But I was speaking on my general experience

When I say suburban it's almost a substitute for middle class btw. I'm not talking about population density. I'm talking about the typical American idea of the suburbs.

Me and my white trash friends aren't middle class and it's safe to say that majority of my friends deal with severe depression.

Looking this up and it actually seems like the exact opposite of what you're saying is true.
