Well Tuna, that's what I did, and that's what I'll have to do. But isn't it worth it? Plus, this is prime time. You should be out being free in your early 20s. Go back and finish when you're like 24-27. You're already halfway done. By the time you know what you want, not only will you be studying something you want to learn, which makes things exciting, but you'll probably be better prepared and have more life experience under the belt where you won't be thinking "I hope I'm not wasting my prime years studying in a dark room". Just my two cents.

I agree completely, the bitch of it is going to be convincing my parents to think the same way. They've always been overbearing.

Did you end up paying your own way?

I'm 24 and reconsidering my major and school. I was in a decent major at a University of California, but didn't want to do computer science, so I told my folks I would be wasting their cash becoming a likely 5 year-7 year student and needed time to figure out exactly what I wanted out of life. Also, reminding them that with 2 years under your belt your in a good spot to power through the second half when you're focused on a real goal, not just settling on something that doesn't sound half bad.

Note of caution, though: You can squander your time off. I thought I'd drop, get a job, travel, gain new friends and hobbies, etc., but instead just worked, paid rent, worked, paid rent, worked, paid rent, paycheck to paycheck with barely enough money to buy a 6pk of beer a week or a 20-40 bag of pot. I don't regret my choice, but it doesn't go like a fairy tale 99/100.

Why do the disabled have to go out of their way to win awards? They're making the rest of us look bad.

"Oh, I have no hands but I won the Best Handwriting Award." Fuck you, handless girl.
