my boss is going to hold a meeting with me and my 2 colleagues about 2 hours from now to decide whether we stay under his supervision or move to a different department. i don't know, i kinda like it being here (my current department) and i don't want to meet any new boss. and besides, my boss is a 'he' and i'm not comfortable working under a 'she'.

Well within the next 12 hours I'll find out if I'm fired or not. I work the cash register at a retail chain. It's super easy and today my register was $8.18 short. I already came up $15 short my first day somehow so I'm kinda on my last warning. I was super careful with counting out change and there's no way I think I could have messed it up. Earlier in the day my finger slipped and I ended the order before typing in the correct amount and I think that could be why my register was off. So now I'll just wait and see, I might have a lot of free time this summer after all.

and yes we've just informed that, though it's not yet 100% final, the process that were handling is moving to another department. now the issue is the headcount. do we stay or go? uh-oh
