My wife and I couldn't be more opposite and we're making it work.

there is also the Chinese concept of "yuan fen" - a mixture of fate and destiny

we just both know it and we are well versed with that Chinese concept

Ghehe, I dunno. I don't think I'd be attracted to someone I can't share an awful lot with.
But that's me

yeah but that's why it works! you share new things with the other person that they may not know or may not be into that are completely different from what they do and that's how it works.

there are intersection points

both our taste in Chinese music is similar, we both like more or less the same foods, there are stuff like synchronicity between our thoughts and bodies (also another Chinese concept - "mark kai")

You can be opposite and still share things. And the great thing about being opposites in a marriage is that each person tends to be good at the things the other one is bad at. It makes getting through various life stuff easier.

For example, my wife is good at math and I'm good with language. We just bought a house. Guess who who figured out the financial stuff and guess who read over all the contracts. Just a simple example but this kind of stuff comes up all the time.

Very practical.
I like having the same problems and good sides and figuring things out together, I guess

We DO have the same problems and figure them out together. The great thing, though, is our differences allow us to attack from different angles.

My gf and I are the same - I'm patient, but procrastinate easily because I can wait to get stuff done. She's impatient so when something grabs here she gets it done, and follows it through to the end :P

actually there is not much difference in both our temperances and personalities

the difference is I'm somewhat lurid in speech and I swear a lot

she's just pretty innocent and all
