I'm about 40 and still stay with my parents

only moving out after I marry, which is soon

parental-child ties are much stronger in Asian societies

meh it just sounds more than the regular Teenage angst though. Maybe i'm overthinking it whatever.

I got along with both of my parents so that whole concept is a foreign idea.

I'm going to go ahead and say something pretty stupid but in my experience a majority of black kids/teenagers usually get along with their mothers. I've only notice other races having problems with their parents even though I know it's not restricted in anyway. I'm just speaking from my experience.

No one I've ever heard of was told on their 16th to get out of their parental house. It's illegal here, by the way.
