awwww....thanks bro
Also, a quick rant about Jimbo Wales: I'm not made of money, jimbo wales. Wikipedia is here to stay but you don't have TO MAKE A BIG ****ING DEAL ABOUT MONEY! If wikipedia was in ACTUAL danger, I would have cared, but it isn't. LAst time I checked, there wasn't a big ordeal on the american news channels that OMG WIKIPEDIA'S DYING@!$$#, so get your grabby, narcissistic hands out of people's wallets. I can't count how many times I clicked on this banner by accident. Care to make it less obnoxious? Last edited by Dayvan Cowboy; 12-08-2010 at 07:53 PM. |

It's been snowing here for a few weeks now and it's caused the normal problems you would expect. Crowded roads and slower journeys, delays in public transport and the like. However I hate the effect this is having and still continuing to have on normal day to day life. Every day this week I have phoned Learn Direct where I am meant to be starting a couple of free courses. I hate being on the dole but may as well take advantage of the freebies and start to use the time to better myself. I've been phoning in the morning because I know the snow is causing the place some problems and I still have not managed to get in. The staff are either having issues getting there, nobody else is going in to do any work so they are closing early and therefore told me not to bother or, like today, they are closed altogether.
I can see buses going up my street and guess where they are going? Thats right. If I could get there then why arent the staff getting there? Why does our country come to a complete stop as soon as it starts to snow? Bah. I'm just gonna watch Hot Fuzz instead. |

But staying in to watch Hot Fuzz still sounds like an excellent idea. It's strange that everything is coming to a halt there...I guess I was under the assumption that is snows often there. Or is it just because of the sheer amount of snow that y'all are getting?

I don't even know.
It has been snowing more than usual here so the conditions have been a little worse but we never seem to cope well with it. You cant really avoid delays in public transport and journey times but it just seems to me that it starts to snow and everybody goes into a panic. Close the offices, close the schools, close the shops, stop the buses completely and stay indoors everybody! It's the end of the bloody world outside! |
