This is unacceptable - I live in the American South - the northern part of the South, but that's beside the point. The average temperature for this part of December has been a little over 50 degrees Fahrenheit in years past. Walking around in just a hoodie sounds miserable. I'm seriously about to go buy thermal to go under my clothes. |

my cat is dying of leukemia, and i'm quite upset about it. it all came on so suddenly. a few weeks ago, he was his usual wild troublemaker self. then boom - complete change. we got the diagnosis just over 2 weeks ago. now he's just skin and bones. he hardly eats and sleeps all the time.
i can still get him to purr softly if i hold him in my lap and scratch in this one particular spot behind his ears... we were at the vet today. he's so anemic that the only hope is interferon, which we can't afford. probably wouldn't work anyway. she gave him a steroid injection to try to give his body a boost, but if he's not shown any improvement by the end of the week, we have to let him go. it pretty much just sucks. he was the coolest cat ever. he loved everybody and he could do some pretty neat tricks. i'm really gonna miss the little dude.

That's ridiculously sad. I'm so sorry to hear that, I can't even begin to imagine what I'd do without my dog. Sorry, Noise.

urgh, noise, I honestly teared up a bit at your post. I hate the idea of pets withering away like that
Recently, I've been wanting to kill my math/science teacher. We're doing a project on Ice Ages in groups of four, but nobody wanted to be in a group with me. So, I was left doing the work of four people all by my self, and I don't have time to finish it. Even better, I asked for her to extend the deadline for me because I'm the only person working alone, and we have to do three parts to our project, which makes it even harder for me. I tried telling her that I honestly don't have the time to do the work of FOUR people in two days so I'm currently ****ed and she doesn't care. I'm going to fail my current grade because of a bad science mark because I only had two days to work on an absolutely huge project (and I said it's THREE full sized projects together) by myself, AND SHE JUST TELLS ME TO SHUT UP AND CONTINUE WORKING! Honestly, she's lacking basic logic: one person does not equal four. |
