Some people are self-righteous, negative *******s. Why can't people open their minds and stop raining on everyone else's parade?

Now I'm off to post in the Rejoice thread.

I really really hate football.
I don't know what it's like there, but when there's a big match in this country there's just problems everywhere. And there's ugly orange flags everywhere.

I always thought it was childish of me to hate something I don't know about. So I tried to follow the last World Cup.
The result is that I hate it even more, now. Sorry .

But please feel free to enjoy your matches, as long as no one bothers me with it, I'm fine with that.

I resemble that remark.
Really. I do.

I don't know why, but I always feel an urge to let people know how ridiculous things are, although I usually keep it to myself. It's almost an irrational thing because I do understand that people just see things differently but it's hard not to assume that they're just being positive about certain things because they're ignorant.
For me it takes a lot of self control to restrain myself from being a completely cynical asshole 100 percent of the time, but I've had so much practice that most people in my life don't realize it.

I guess the only upside to it is that I'm actually happy thinking negatively. I guess at the core of it, that's all that really matters. I think the best thing I've learned regarding that is others don't have to feel the same way in order for me to still take comfort in it. That's probably a lesson that should be learned by the person you are speaking about.

In these cases, I use to look up the Urban Dictionary: citeh.

Look on the good side. Now there will be more variety of sports' fans: karate, taekwondo, judo, etc...

I actually did get my answer from the Urban Dictionary.
Gotta love that site.

Looks like the player above is better in karate than in football...
You might be right there.
But I don't like fighting sports either :$.
(to be honest, I only like sports with cars that crash an awful lot ;D)

I follow what you're saying...guess what I'm really getting at is people who are miserable, and the only thing that makes them happy is that others are miserable with them. Not everything is sunshine and roses, sure. I'm not suggesting we all walk around insisting on finding the beauty and charm and goodness in every little thing and person. On the flip side, its just as annoying when negative people have to find crap or flaws in every single little thing.

You say "it's hard not to assume that they're just being positive about certain things because they're ignorant." I guess I feel the same way about certain people who are negative all the time. They just do it to be arbitrary, because they are miserable and even if they don't know anything about "X" thing, they think it's crap just because others enjoy it. That's just as ignorant.
